PHP Developer
Job Description
Are you ready to hit the ground running? Are you ahead of the pack when it comes to clean code, pushing your capabilities and thinking outside the box? Glendale Designs operates out of a small, but very professional home office, with a casual atmosphere. We are growing and looking to add a proficient well-rounded PHP developer to our team.
This position will start out as part time contract work, but could quickly work into a full time position.

Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with PHP
- eCommerce development experience (Magento/3dcart/Shopify/Shopp, Miva Merchant, etc.)
- SQL and relational database design experience
- Strong Javascript, HTML, CSS skills and jQuery knowledge
- Strong SQL skills and some knowledge of Unix
- Knowledge of browser-specific issues and agile testing for browsers
- Ability to work without constant supervision, eager to find and solve problems
- Must be detail-oriented & verify your work & habitual about validating the functionality of your work
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Implement HTML/CSS code conversions into WordPress and add plugin or custom functionality, as needed
- Project brainstorming to include accommodating project specifications and functionality, while retaining simplistic client admin usability
- Work on complete projects as well as performing updates to existing client sites
- Integrate CSS based designs into Miva Merchant ecommerce platform (initial training provided) and/or Magento/Shopify, etc.
Added Plus …
- PSD to HTML code conversions
- Basic SEO industry standard knowledge a BIG plus
- High quality front end work.
CSS Guru / Front End Implementation
- Expert in hand-written HTML, CSS, Javascript, and jQuery
- Can slice and dice a PSD like nobody's business
- Knowledge of browser-specific issues and agile testing for browsers
- Provide post-launch support for defect and problem resolution
- Familiarity with the latest and best practices for web usability and interaction design
- Ability to work without constant supervision, eager to find and solve problems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
UI / UX Designer
- Must create high end visual user interface designs
- Strong sense of typography, design, layout, color, navigation, etc.
- In-depth understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
- Must have a strong portfolio, containing examples of professional design work with an emphasis on web and ecommerce design
- Familiarity with the latest and best practices for web usability and interaction design
- Development/coding process JScript, CSS and HTML is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Miva Merchant Developer
- 2+years in Miva Script
- Complete understanding of all Miva functionality and options as well as Store Morph technology
- Install and customize modules
- Integrate CSS based designs into Miva Merchant
- Ability to work without constant supervision, eager to find and solve problems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
