Are you running into problems using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manger? This program has a lot of functionality, but when you have issues and do research and can’t find a solution it can be very frustrating to say the least!
The symptoms we experienced were; when Outlook 2007 would send and receive more times than not it would lockup and or freeze and start flickering. Originally we changed the setting to only send and receive when you executed the Send/Receive button. Outlook still would freeze and flicker as well as lock up. If you continued on working when the send and receive was in process, it appeared to amplify the problem. After doing more research we reduced the overall database file size and disabled the plug-ins. These steps still didn’t correct the problem.
Finally we tried the following steps (with the plug-ins turned on) and it seems like it has fixed the problem.
Open Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager and select “Manage E-mail Auto Linking”
Under the E-Mail tab press “Select All” and then choose “OK”. What this does is disables the linking of documents to a business contact. Granted you are giving up a little if you use this feature, however I’m confident your frustration level will reduce radically from not rebooting or shutting down the program incorrectly.
