Your right, we have purchased from Crutchfield and they do have knowledgeable staff with nice customer service. Their selection is geared more towards sounds and digital products. Frys Electronic was more than happy to assist us along with they just rolled out a new strategy to meet internet pricing. This did end up saving us money at store level too.

Very sad to see a company that once was more than able to walk you through the purchase of *anything* you might need to using desk jockeys that know nothing. My most recent experience with Dell also went this way. Is Crutchfield the only company that still offers buying assistance for tech users?

Google announced a few weeks ago its version of the Facebook “Like” button, a search results tool called Plus-One.” And as much as it appears to be a reduplicate of something that’s already favorite, Google’s biggest selling point for this feature may be the ability to filter search results into something more dirigible.

I think that some people are somewhat obsessed with w3c standards, yes, it’s nice that it validates, but is nothing really necessary (and sometimes it blocks older or different browsers unless a lot of hacks are involved).
