Resize and Optimize Images for Web – Free
Do you have a WordPress site or a shopping cart and you need to re-size and/or optimize images? Adobe Photoshop is a wonderful program, but a little pricey and too complicated for the novice to use, especially if you just have a few images to re-size. We ran across a few real simple solutions that we would like to share with you.
The first one is called “Shrink O’Mantic” and is a free program, which is always nice. It is capable of running on the following operating systems: Windows, Mac and Linux. Once you have installed the Adobe Air application, you will be able to:
- Size your image
- Rename your image and or place it in a specified folder
- Control the output of using a JPG, GIF or PNG
So if you’re interested in a very easy simple solution that’s free I’m sure you’ll be happy with Shrink O’Matic (PC)

Second solution for resizing images
We also located a website where you can re-size your image right online at Web Resizer. Although we think working with images off-line can be easier.
